Examples of goals on a Knowledge Management program could include:

* Foster Cross-Selling
* Grow Revenue
* Increase Productivity
* Retain Intellectual Capital
* Grow Intellectual Capital

Each of these goals could be potentially addressed through initiatives that focus on:
1. Content and Knowledge Sharing or KNOW WHAT
2. Business Processes or KNOW HOW
3. Relationship Management both internally and externally or KNOW WHO

Fundamentally, a broad thinking Knowledge Management program should encompass or work closely with all of the following areas:
1. Content Management
2. Learning & Development
3. Talent Management
